katie and bobby (full post, i promise!!)

Well, here I am. So sorry about the lack of action here. School just started along with all the jobs and I have spread myself way to thin this semester. If I was a chocolate chip cookie, I would break-but I'm not. I'm me, and I will survive. Bare with me though, as I struggle to balance it all-I promise that I'm trying!
I have gotten around to finishing up Katie and Bobby's pictures, and I hope that you enjoy their special day as much as I did. I so appreciate their willingness to do anything and everything that I asked them to, and be so happy while doing it! They are a great couple and I know that God has great things in store for their lives together...
Bobby's mom actually made this dress for Katie!

This was the first time that I got to shoot a first look with my couple, and I loved it! I was so excited, that once it started I secretly freaked out because I had no idea what to do!!

When I initially talk to Katie about the wedding, she told me they had a huge wedding party. I don't think that it hit me how huge until I saw them all together...here are the pretty girls. All 10 of them!!

Ring Bearer.

Best. Groomsmen. Shot. Ever. (Look closely)

There actually wasn't a dance. A song just happened to play that these girls LOVED. I thought it was only going to last for a second. Nope! Totally went the whole song-haha!

Thanks for letting me be a part of your amazing day guys! Much love to you both!

Grace-Peace-Beauty to you all at this busy time of year!

katie and bobby sneak peak

Here I am! So sorry I haven't blogged sooner, dear friends! The chaos is kicking in...jobs are starting to get busy, school is fixing start, and life is just crazy! A long overdue teaser is here! I shot Katie and Bobby's Wedding last weekend-and could not have been happier to be a part of their day. Here is a couple just to bring you back in the next few days.

The oh-so-fabulous Katie.

Much more to come very soon!

kate and ryan

It starts when we are young. As little girls, we dress up in white dresses, and buy Wedding Barbie, and make her marry Ken-the perfectly handsome and most practical man there is-and then they live happily ever after in their giant mansion and have fabulous children that all turn out flawless. These ideas start out perfect, and then we begin to grow up and the first guy (or girl) that crushes our heart crushes our ideas right along with it. We think that it was all a lie. No man is as perfect for me as Ken was for Barbie.

As we grow, the tables turn. Soon enough, the thought slips back in our mind that maybe our lives can be somewhat picture perfect. You see a couple that could not be happier. You can't imagine them more in love that they are at that very second. And then it all comes back. The hope that love really is all you need. And that real love does exist.

That is what I see in Kate and Ryan-and I met them the day I shot their wedding. They had a beautiful backyard wedding in Kate's childhood home, and it could not have been more perfect. Kate just radiated with love for him and Ryan was so thrilled to accept that. In the few short hours I was amazed, and encouraged. I was a second shooter this go-round with my good friend Kirby and it was a nice change for a weekend.

She made this adorable little clip herself!

Awesome band they had after the wedding...

So cute.

Thank you, Kate and Ryan for letting me be a part of your amazing day and for sharing your oh so sweet love with the world.

Grace Peace and Beauty to you all.

Burgett Wedding

The day couldn't have been better. Through all the wrong things I did that day including, forgetting my camera once, having to buy a new memory card thirty minutes before I was set to be at the church, and having to have my mom buy and bring me a new battery about an hour before the wedding, their love shone through it all. The joy was overwhelming and contagious. I couldn't figure it out that day. I thought to myself, "There is no way you can be having a good time right now with all the air head moves you have made!" But I was-and so was every person there. It was all so perfect, and so much fun to be a part of!

Always laughing! My second shooter/best buddy D'Anna caught this great one.

I realize that there isn't much going on in this photo, but I just think the lighting is gorgeous!

Thank you guys so much for being so great and allowing me to be a part of this amazing day. And for being so forgiving when I made silly mistakes! It was a blast!

Thanks for checking in! And just because I have to have something to bring you back, here is a fun shot from Kate and Ryan's Wedding that my friend Kirby and I shot in Sundown, TX-see you soon!!

When Kirby suggested this as a joke, I did it but wasn't sure how it would turn out. But...I LOVE it! It is so funny to me, what do you think? Ha-ha!
